The ConsuLab CL-1918-4S_053304 trainer has been developed to teach mod- ern automotive lighting systems through student led hands-on learning exer- cises where reinforcement of circuit understanding is enhanced. All learning exercises are written at three different student competence levels. (Basic, Some Experience and Advanced) with each using different wiring schematics. This product is also used for the teaching of Ohm’s Law, basic and advanced circuits, relay controlled circuits, power side and ground side switched cir- cuits. The trainer includes a fault box where up to twelve real-world circuit faults can be inserted. The faults include open circuits, short circuits, high re- sistance circuits and component failure that will require use of voltage drop and digital multimeter testing to verify circuit problems. The trainer is config- ured with 4mm wiring sockets and all circuit wiring is completed using 4mm jumper wires. There are also 2mm sockets for use with testing equipment at key points in the circuits.
