The Handheld Tachometer provides a convenient, accurate way of measuring rotary speeds on all types of machinery. Used in non-contacting measurements, the tachometer optically detects a reflective target on the rotating object to read revolutions per minute. Where in-contact measurements are required, a mechanical adaptor is used for reading shaft rotation. The hand tachometer can be used for everyday checks of motors, conveyors, HVAC equipment and line speeds. It also provides an excellent reference source for checking speed indicators on machinery control panels. Included in the Rotating Machines Trainers (50016 and 50340) for 1/3 hp - 250 W.
