CL-139 Autotransformer Reduced Voltage Starter - 60 Hz + Add to wishlist

The ConsuLab CL-139 is an autotransformer reduced voltage starter for 1/3 hp (250 W) that is used to start squirrel cage motors that require limited current and reduced voltage at acceleration. The starter is equipped with thermal protection facilities, a start-stop push-button station and two pilot lamps indicating respectively the supply and the run state of the motor driven. It is housed in a half-size totally enclosed portable modular unit. Connections to the unit are made through 4 mm standard color-coded, five-way binding posts. This permits the utilization of banana-type jumper leads between the power supply and other Consulab components in the circuit. Specifications and/or diagrams are silk-screened on the back of a clear-plastic front panel for ease of identification. The trainer is protected by a either a diode or thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. Requires a 120/208V 60Hz circuit.

Educational Advantages

  • Indicates respectively the supply, the run state of the motor driven and adjustable time delay

These are wonderful trainers! With the ability to remote control them with a laptop, real life situations can be simulated (read: intermittent faults) and it also helps with so many different areas of expertise! San Jacinto College has these trainers and couldn't be more satisfied. Well done, ConsuLab!
