The Consulab EM-1102 cutaway, demonstrates the internal operation of the inner parts of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and allows the student to visualize and safely actuate the belt-and-pulley system. The belt-and-pulley system and the gear ratio shifting are operated through air valves and an electric motor.
