The Consulab EC-1102 cutaway demonstrates the internal operation and of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and allows the student to visualize and safely actuate the belt and pulley system. The belt and pulley system and gear ratio shifting are controlled using pneumatic valves and an electric motor.
