The CL-U401 Unitec Combined Load Bank is a portable unit consisting of combined resistive, capacitive and inductive loads. It is primarily used for loading the 220V, 3 PH, 60 Hz output of Unelco/Unitec console alternator with balanced and unbalanced loads of unity, leading and lagging power factors. The same unit may be applied to study DC transients in capacitive and inductive circuits, AC resonance, etc.
The CL-U401 may be used to load DC machines and single phase AC alternators. Each type of load for individual phase is brought out to two (2) pairs of full safety terminals and is controlled by seven (7) switches. At 220V - 60 Hz, these switches generate a total of 7 A loads that are provided for each phase. A maximum of 21 A loads at 220V, 1 PH (4.6 kVA) is also possible. A complete set of patching cords is provided for each unit. |
