The CL-U102 Unitec Synchronous Machine Console is specially designed to teach and aid in typical experiments on synchronous machines. It can be used as a stand-alone synchronous motor or as an alternator driven by other Consulab machine consoles. The CL-U102 output can also be converted into motive power or mechanical load applied to other Consulab trainers. For this purpose it is connected as an alternator and electrically loaded by means of a CL-U401 Combination Load Bank.
