The AC/DC circuit trainer was developed for basic AC and DC circuit experiments. The panel is housed in a 20-gauge steel box. A 22½ in.2 support in front of the housing ensures stability during use. The base can also be propped at a 30° angle using a ¼ in. chrome plated support that is held in place by two center rests on each side of the housing. This support also facilitates moving the trainer.
The components of the trainer are mounted onto a 14-⅞” x 19-⅝” (37.8 x 49.9 cm), heat-resistant, unbreakable ¼” polycarbonate panel. Schematic diagrams are silk-screened onto the back of the panel and then painted over for increased wear resistance. The panel is pressure-resistant up to 20 lbs./in.2 (145kg/m2) and supports all of the components. A hinged panel attached to the base of the trainer allows for easy access to all components. The panel is kept in place by a ¼-turn screw. The accompanying student manual is divided into 24 sections and contains 110 experiments. |
