The CL-1500 High Voltage Line Transformers is found to be particularly useful for courses in electrical distribution line maintenance and installation. The corner stone of this program is a discussion about the transformer, its principles and applications.

The lab manual, divided into two sections, contains experiments that deal with magnetism, induction, conductor heating, electrical shocks, measuring instruments, Ohm’s law, various transformer types, three phase circuits, and transformer power.

Most of the CL-1500 components are mounted on Moduponents ® (clear plastic plates on which symbols and specifications are silk-screened). The Moduponents® required for an experiment can quickly be installed in each cabinet and interconnected with patch cords fitted with piggy back plugs.
